A tripodic studio porcelain incense burner reminiscent of ancient Chinese bronze configurations. Its striking color palette defines the lower portion's three legs in a brilliant yellow enamel and the cartouches along the shoulders, deep cobalt blue on an iron red ground patterned with geometric shapes. The lid (the creature's head) and the powerful body are naturalistically modeled with a flame-like mane and tail - the entirety, richly gilt.
